Summary
Din’s hand doesn’t leave his shoulder, even as Luke becomes visibly more relaxed. He finds himself leaning into his space - never making any contact outside what Din has initiated but closer than before. His ears burn and he laughs, almost giddy.
“Hah, look at me. I’ve been making such a bad impression on you.”
“And how were you aiming to come off?” Din almost teases.
Luke smiles as if it’s the only thing in the world to do. “Stable? Knowledgeable enough to take care of your son, at least.”
Din shrugs. “You’ve done alright so far. I’ve dealt with all kinds of bad sorts, and you…” His fingers twitch against Luke’s spine. “Are - different.”
Luke wonders idly if Din can feel his skin burning from beneath his robes. His heart flutters like a rabbit’s.
“Would you like to stay over, tonight?” Luke asks without thinking.
