It’s– there’s Buck, and– a cat? A little white one, on his shoulders, perched there like it’s totally comfortable, swaying slightly with Buck’s movement as he chops cucumber sticks and lifts one for the cat to sniff at. Eddie presses a hand to the back of his head, wondering if he’s hit it without realising.
Buck turns, his eyes lighting up when he catches sight of Eddie. “Eddie!”
Eddie, helpless to do anything else, says: “you have a cat.”
Buck turns to look at the cat, as if he momentarily forgot that it was there. “Ah. Yeah. This is Mistletoe! I found her in a dumpster."
or: buck finds a cat, family, and true love on christmas, not necessarily in that order.

Summary
