    Summary

Of all the places Bruce thought he'd ever find himself, this was not one of them. Thirteen minutes ago Barbara had patched him through to Dick's comm, had heard his adopted son's labored breathing, heard the desperation in his voice when he pleaded with Bruce to come and get him from where he'd holed himself up at and to please bring the antitoxin.

Dick gets pollened and Bruce is the only one who can help. Except the anti toxins didn't work.

    Summary

The destination he has in mind is unclear — unnamed, yet, more accurately. Jason doesn’t know where he’s going, or what he’s going to do when he gets there. A few hours’ drive just didn’t seem far enough to be away from the expanse of Gotham, not when Bristol itself rolled out several miles around the city proper, so he cranked it up a few hours. Chicago seemed like a far enough place away, until he got onto I-80 and a terror seized him as he remembered Dick had spent a brief stint as an officer in Chicago. So he kept driving west.

Keeps. Keeps driving west. Jason Todd has no idea where he’s going or no idea what he’s going to do when he gets there, but he knows with certainty three things:

Jason Todd is a wanted man.

Jason Todd is the Red Hood.

And Jason Todd absolutely cannot go back home.

    ***

The one where Jason flees to Montana, hides from his family, and inadvertently finds another.

    Bookmarker's Notes

Jason's on the run from Bruce, from Gotham, from anything that has to do with his old life. He somehow ends up in a tiny town in Montana at the end of a 30 odd hour drive and gets taken pity on/taken in by a Montana rancher (mainly because Jason's young looking, beat to hell, and still lovable if you're not looking through past-tinted glasses)
Meanwhile Dick is turning himself into a panicked pretzel at everything and missing his brother and still scared of what happened (and what it'll mean for the future) when a Red Hood wearing figure is pulled out of the river and upon an ill advised unmasking attempt by GCPD blows up (because of the helmet bomb). It of course leads to a knock down drag out between Bruce and Dick and they're both left licking their wounds in the aftermath with the past haunting them in more ways than one.

    Summary

After a rough day, the Robins and the original Batgirl gather at a safehouse for a little R&R. After a few drinks, a game of Truth-or-Dare takes an angsty turn when Babs chooses Truth and Jason asks a question they think he should already know the answer to. Why wasn't he invited to Alfred's funeral?

When the truth comes out after decades, who's hurt more? The person who lived in obliviousness and blind spots (Jason), the person aggressively shuffling them out (Alfred), or the family who were bystanders for the entire saga and thought it was obvious to everyone.
    Or,
How do you tell someone the truth that makes them realise the one thing they clung to their whole life was a lie?
