Summary
Jinx flees through one of the ventilation shafts of the Hexgates, making her escape and making good on her plan to let her sister be free. She's sad of course but also, free. Finally, finally free. She slides down the shaft and reality seems to hiccup and she's thrown into some strange anomaly. She closes her eyes and shouts and things seem to freeze. When she opens her eyes, she's falling. High above Piltover, she's falling through the sky. Another anomaly appears in her path and she braces. She exits that anomaly and rolls through the street bouncing a few times and hitting a wall hard enough to crack the brick. She's dazed and has to take a moment to orient herself. Somehow Jinx finds herself back in the Lanes. She hears voices approaching and hides herself and then freezes, bordering on panic, when she sees who the voices belong to. A young Vi, Powder, Mylo, and Claggor.

KSK Captain Valerie Medarda returns home from a five month deployment to immediately get trapped into a gala her sister Mel has hosted. Uncomfortable in such spaces, Valerie slips out easily knowing her sister along with her best friend Caitlyn will be disappointed. Eh, oh well, she'll take them out for brunch later. For now, it's home, change, and find a real party. She takes her Ducati down to The Pitt in Zaun. Just her scene. As she's flirting with the bartender, a small force smacks into her and bounces away. She knew when she accepted the apprenticeship Jayce and Viktor offered, that the chances of running into her sister's ex, her childhood crush, were on the high end and most likely unavoidable. She thought she was ready to see Caitlyn again. It turns out she was wrong. She thought she had prepared herself for the memories and emotions that seeing the older woman would bring to the surface, and she might have been right.... had Caitlyn not looked so damn good.

“Oh come on.” Jinx groaned as a car slowed down to roll alongside her. Great, fantastic, some creep wanted to make her night even worse. That's just wonderful.
When the driver didn’t take the hint when Jinx kept her gaze forward and never slowed in her stride she finally stopped. She stomped petulantly and swiveled around to glare right at the stupid tinted glass of the stupid car.
“Whaddaya want, asshole?” Jinx spat as the window started to lower, preparing for whatever sleaze would be leering behind it.
So she was surprised to not only recognize the driver but recognize them as Caitlyn fucking Kiramman.
The Piltiest Piltie to ever Pilt.
And also Vi’s ex.
Jinx would have preferred some random creep.

An heir to the richest family of Piltover, she was terrified that as soon as people discovered that the letters on her wrist said "Powder" they'd accuse her of being a drug addict. So for years she hid the mark from everyone's sight as well as her own, giving up on the idea of ever meeting her soulmate.
Yet after she had met the mysterious Powder, Caitlyn couldn't bring herself to think of anything else other than why that girl was so damn rude.
