By 8pm Manhattan will be hit with its biggest snowstorm in years. At 7:43 Benson and Stabler rope Casey into dropping off a file at Alex’s apartment on her way home. Alex who has just walked through the door from a fancy dinner uptown, and who distracts Casey long enough that uh oh what’dya know they’re snowed in. Casey who’s not gonna survive this.

Summary
There was only one coffee shop that was actually worth going to within a three-block radius of One Hogan– at least according to Casey Novak.
Tucked into a corner of Franklin St., the family owned cafe had been there since long before Casey had moved into the city. It was full of wobbly old tables, mismatched armchairs, a big central fireplace, ridiculously good espresso, and the best baked goods in Manhattan. Again, according to Casey. And, perhaps its main draw, it was a total oasis from the world of her work. Despite its relative location to the office, the courthouse, and the precinct, she’d only seen colleagues a handful of times.
That was until Alex Cabot came back to New York.
