And Armand’s fingers are in his mouth. He’s touching the teeth at the back and Daniel would be gagging if he still had a gag reflex. Armand scratches his nails against his fangs and his whole body shutters, new erogenous zones. He’ll have to tell to Louis about it.

When Arthur rises from the Lake, it isn't immediately clear what new purpose he's meant to be fulfilling this time around. Thrown into a strange new world with strange new problems and next to no clue what to do about them, Arthur finds solace in the only two things that remain from his old life:
Merlin, and the mysterious stranger who wants Arthur dead.
Just like old times.

Summary
Arthur looked the same. Or, well, he didn’t look completely like what Merlin remembered at first, but Merlin stared at him for a second longer, and it all snapped into place. The hair; the chain-mail; the eyes; the way Arthur was sitting morosely on the ground, his gaze as determined as ever; it all added up to the same portrait he'd been trying so desperately to keep clear for a thousand years.
Merlin slowly walked up to him. “Arthur?”
Arthur’s head whipped around, and a true look of relief spread across his face. “Merlin.”
Arthur comes back. It's a bit more of a struggle on Merlin's end then he'd ever expected it to be, but he, at least, has Leon to help him muddle through. Worst comes to worst, he knows what to expect-- Arthur will tenuously accept Merlin as a friend, nothing more. Won't he?
(or, author goes insane about how fucking repressed Merlin is. That's basically the fic).

Summary
Merlin hums, making Arthur look back at him and Gods—Arthur already knows what he’s going to say even before his plush lips can grace the shape of the syllables. And yet, it hits him all the same, the gut punch of words delivered by a man whose praise seems worth its weight in gold.
Merlin leans in closer, breath almost ghosting along Arthur’s skin as the binds come undone.
“Good boy.”

All the times Merlin calls Arthur a good boy and the times Arthur seeks it out, then what happens when the praise stops.
