After the coronation of Aragorn, Elrond asks Faramir for his help in retrieving a relic stored in the vaults of Minas Tirith: the bones of Elros Tar-Minyatur, the first king of Númenor, Elrond's beloved brother and technically speaking, Faramir's distant ancestor. Edwin wishes he didn’t recognise this feeling. He’s embarrassed to admit that he does. It's an itch under his skin, but so much worse. It's been burrowing into the base of his skull for weeks, distracting him from his studies and experiments more than anything else has ever done so before. It's been a virus, slowly infecting his body, growing day by day, and Edwin wonders if this is much like the worry that took over Robin when the curse had taken over his arm.
Though it feels in poor taste to compare his sexual frustration to a rune curse that attempted to take Robin’s life.
