Seven months on the run since his escape from Arkham, Jason gets shot and makes the impulsive decision to go back home. A move that leaves his ex-family in panic as they try to figure out if his peace offers are genuine, how likely he is to shoot them, and how to undo generational trauma.
Also, there are the hallucinations that keep following him, but that's probably normal. No one ever said vigilantes had to be well-adjusted.

Jason gets hurt during a drug bust and decides not to get help. Don’t get him wrong, he wasn’t suicidal; if he wanted to kill himself he would have done so already (atleast that was what he told himself). Oh and there’s a cat!

“Hood..”, Nightwing began and all Jason could do was stare, telling himself that all of this shit had to be a dream. “I’m sorry. You must’ve been through so much.” For a moment, Jason could feel his heart stop as his throat began closing up.

According to various sources, Black Mask had started to mess with Hood’s territory again. With Riddler and Scarecrow being on the loose again, Batman really didn’t want deal with Gang wars in the middle of Gotham - so despite being the most stubborn man on earth, he had asked Nightwing to make sure they don’t start anything. During another regular mission, Dick finally meets the hooded Crime lord himself, finding out more about the man than he could’ve ever imagined.
