Summary
Astor loved Dexter. But as she grew older, she started to notice things.
Cracks in his image that she felt alone in seeing. Sure, he worked for the police department, but were those extended work hours really necessary? The longer he was in their lives, the later he came home. It still happened even after Harrison was born. Something was consuming him, something he viewed as more important than his family—her family—and she never got the chance to discover what it was.
