    There are plenty of skills one can pick up in the Endless Abyss if curious or just desperate enough. The shape changing had been explained as being able to look like other people. This isn’t what happens when Luo Binghe tries it. What happens is that he’s transformed into a tiny dog with masses of curly black fur.

    When he catches his reflection while transformed, his first thought is, Shizun would definitely want to pet me.

    (Or, the one where Luo Binghe can turn into a dog, infiltrates Qing Jing, and seeks Shizun's affections through fluffy subterfuge)

    When it was all said and done, Shen Qingqiu comforted himself that the end of the plot meant that, surely, all major events were out of the way. They were firmly in HEA territory and he could relax a little. Right? Right.

    A year and a half into his marriage to the protagonist, he cursed himself for a fool when he woke next to a Luo Binghe from ten years in the past.

    Meanwhile, a recently transmigrated Shen Yuan struggled to retain what little face he had when confronted with an overgrown, disturbingly gorgeous demon lord claiming to be his husband.     Shen Yuan, a Qing Jing researcher with low cultivation and an unhealthy interest in the demonic entities that crawl out of the rift in the abyssal zone of the ocean, gets his hands on an amulet to allow him to personally travel down there to conduct his studies. It gives him an aquatic spiritual form, with fascinating traits to help him survive at the bottom of the sea.

    The problem is that he’s not only being allowed down there for his research. Twenty years ago, the levels of demonic energy emanating from the rift rose and haven’t fallen since. Cang Qiong monitors the coast, certain that there’s a powerful entity down there, lurking, biding its time. If possible, Shen Yuan is meant to find and report on that entity—but the chances of him actually stumbling across it are low enough to basically be zero, right?

    Or: There is a creature at the bottom of the ocean. It takes exception to having its territory crossed over.
