Summary
Miranda Priestly noticed everything, she had an eye for detail, it was something she prided herself in. So when a new writer started covering articles about her at major events and not just gossip rags she noticed. ‘Andy Sachs’ was a name she seen more often than not when it came to articles about her. After the 5 year mark she noticed that these articles were often written by him, he obviously took his job seriously in Miranda’s mind because every article he wrote was flattering yet well written. Every assistant she had knew at this point that if it was written by Andy Sachs it was intended to hit her desk.

Miranda mistakes Andy for a man and finally decides she needs to meet this mystery man ten years into ‘him’ covering her presence at events.
She’s surprised to find that Andy is in-fact a woman who’s about to be her equal in the world of editing and publishing. They establish a tentative friendship together as Miranda’s life starts to fall apart.

“And who is this?” Miranda asked in a snide tone as she looked at Andy. Andy presented Miranda with her resume and introduced herself.
“Andy Sachs ma’am.” Andy said really selling it with that good old midwestern charm.
“No.” Miranda said as she tossed her resume behind her.
“No? I’m more than qualified for the position. How hard can it be to fetch you your coffee and schedule things.” Andy huffed.
“No, as in I have an extremely hard time believing any half sane mother would name their beautiful baby girl Andy.” Miranda said giving Andy déjà vu.
“My birth name is Andrea. But I go by Andy.” Andy explained, and a flicker of something strangely familiar flashed in Miranda’s eyes before she schooled her face into one of disinterest.

Miranda met Andy in a Bar in 1974, Andy decided Miranda had some growing up to do, so she promised she’d find her again. 32 years later Andy does just that.

Four years into living in London and Andy Sachs is maintaining a career as a Features Writer at one of the UK’s biggest broadsheet newspapers. Not moving up, granted. But not moving down, either. Andy has friends, a (sort of) nice flat in Islington, and she definitely, definitely doesn’t think about Runway anymore. Sometimes she can even walk past a Starbucks without getting heart palpitations.
Her boyfriend is okay, her job is okay, her apartment is okay. Everything is okay. Until she comes home from work one day to find Miranda Priestly standing on her front doorstep. The same day the news breaks that Miranda is being investigated by the NYPD.

Summary
Drinking human blood can form a dependency that Miranda would loathe, but her hands are tied: she must take her second assistant as a thrall. She’d been continuously firing her assistants to get around this rule, but then Andrea came along. The girl has the infuriating power to tempt her like no other, and resistance is growing more difficult by the day. Now she has until All Hallow’s Eve to claim Andrea as a thrall, and Miranda is determined to prevent the inevitable.
Just as well, because Andy Sachs has one small problem: she’s just been bitten by her (previously unbeknownst to her) werewolf boyfriend, and has until the full moon – Halloween, because of course it is – to retain her humanity. All while trying to keep the whole werewolf thing under wraps, relying on her now ex-boyfriend as a 1-(800)-WEREWOLF-TIPS hotline, and being unknowingly pursued by her boss, who is secretly a vampire. Talk about awkward.
