    Sonic knows that his tails are wrong, Tails had told him that himself. Knuckles surely knew from just a glance, but Maddie didn't.

    Maddie didn't know.

    Tails hadn't meant to lie. Really, he hadn't. But when Maddie gives him a way to pretend that his mutation is normal, he takes it. And he doesn't mean for things to spiral out of control, but they do.
