As Mask tried to relax into his bedroll, a tight ball of something curled in his chest. A wrongness he couldn’t identify, and it made him restless and tense.
Mask tilted his head back, feeling the crisp chill of the night on his face. His cozy blanket wrapped around him. Chirping crickets and the familiar rustles of small animals filled the night. The trees rustled in the wind, a comforting reminder of his home. He slept in the center of camp, surrounded by powerful warriors–his brothers. So why couldn’t he sleep?

Interesting premise! And I like the sass of the protagonist. She feels like a real person. And the inclusion of all the little “worldbuilding” details are neat too! Stuff like southern accents and humidity. It really makes it feel like this occurs in reality (if that makes sense)(And thankfully the rest can be found on fanfiction.net - woo!)

One of my new most absolute favorite fics to ever exist.
Stellar characterization of everyone (particularly of Jazz, Mirage and Prowl)
Riveting plot, deep conversations that make you think/feel, and amazing world building filled to the brim with lovely tiny details.- Hacking as an interrogation method
- I like the idea of mechs geared more towards thinking/analysis having sliiiightly less physical prowess than those engineered for combat.
- And that when being hacked/mentally used, abrupt (or general) disconnects leave them disoriented and unable to move properly.
- Ooh, the stasis cuffs concept is cool - they not only hold the hands, but restrict/sap overall strength/motion.
I love the concept of Jazz using internal music to time escape sequences (or combat).Ch. 4 is hilarious. You’d think Prowl’d “let the thing go” because they need to escape asap, but no. No he wants answers for why, and he’s not backing off until he gets them.
Ch. 15/16/17’s inhibitor pulse thing is cool
More interrogation skills in Ch. 17 is neatLove the conversations Ch. 18

The constant use (abuse?) of the inhibitors is curious? Though it does make sense
Ch. 22 - Jazz’s echo location(?) is cool. Also, Mirage!!
Ehehe I like his outward aloofness, but inward desire for conversation and apparent friendliness. He’s refined and elegant.<“Jazz sticks behind Mirage. Cliffjumper’s engine growls steadily. ‘Cells are the other way.’It’s interesting that Jazz is consistently and correctly reading Mirage’s tells. This could be due to Jazz’s skill and/or this Mirage not being trained as much/by Jazz (yet?).
The implications around Mirage’s lack of experience (Jazz reading him, him not knowing how to de-escalate Cliffjumper) is interesting! It’s different from the perspective I’d curated of him thus far (though of course everyone has different ideas). I kinda like about what it’s implying about his time here - history no friends/little friendly interactions, which also resulted in him not knowing how to handle Cliffjumper
Cool hacking stuff in ch. 25! Very exciting over all
XD sassy Prowl my beloved (Ch. 26)
Prowl has forensics experience!Augh, I love love love the conversations/arguments between Jazz and Prowl in Ch. 27, particularly the light it sheds on Prowl. - Prowl keeps pushing so hard for Jazz to change because he cares so. Much.
Prowl cares about lives, and saving lives, so much.
I love the idea of Prowl despairing at his inability to convince when he knows that convincing could save so many.
I love that Prowl doesn’t lose the meaning behind the numbers - that is what gives them importance. “I have to optimize numbers — the numbers are people, Jazz!”
Prowl, slumped/saddened: “Everyone is dying, and can’t stop it on my own.”
Loving Hound’s introduction
It may seem small/silly, but I love that Hound is both treating Prowl as his superior, but also is clearly happy to see him.
Organic-friendly Jazz my beloved <3

Sideswipe and Sunstreaker! Loving their characterization too. They’re not Autobots yet…
Holy moly. The descriptions in that torture scene with Jazz are deep. The panic and waves of pain feel visceral.

Ohhhhhh how I love this story. Soundwave is such a stinker and gremlin, I love him.The characterization and growth as a whole is incredible!!
And! I like the general idea of the Lost Light going on cross dimensional adventures, potentially picking people up along the way. Especially since these alternate dimensions can be other fandoms / TF things.
The concept of biolights flashing/changing to indicate mood/emotions/nonverbal signals is neat :)
Ohhh the events and emotions of ch. 10 are amazing!!
Amazing Soundwave headcanons! I love the idea Laserbeak used to literally be part of him.
Amaaaazing characterization development, wow. (The Irradion chapter set)
Ch. 35’s Decepticon meeting is beautiful
Chapters 44 & 45 are SO. GOOD.
