THALIA GRACE is running on errands all across the country. Her grandfather is rising, and as a goddess herself, she has tasks that the half-mortals do not. Gathering the support of minor gods and nature spirits who should heed Olympus’ rule, and making note of who refuses her. To make matters worse, she hasn't heard from her best—and truly, only—friend in months. She wants a damn vacation.
ANNABETH CHASE is to her knowledge the second godling to live on Olympus. After her stunt last winter, her mother moved both of them into her temple. She's enjoying the increase in attention, and especially the contact with her immortal aunts and uncles, but she can't do anything up here. Jason is okay, but he doesn’t have any interest in quests or the mortal world. For all that it’s lovely, Olympus is another picture perfect prison. She wants out.
PERCY JACKSON misses his friends. Annabeth, a godling like him, and Thalia, an actual goddess. He's glad his mom moved down to Atlantis with his other two parents, but he still feels lonely. He’s got plenty of family, but not much in the way of friends. To make everything worse, he’s been dealing with an on-and-off again sickness that has everyone worried.

He brings in an average bounty day in and day out, and most would struggle to tell you anything more exceptional about him other than that he lives alone with his mother and younger sister at the cliffs on the edge of town.
Neither story is truth.

Percy never quite articulated why he didn't like to be called Perseus, as a child. He just did. He wasn't like the Maximilians or the Alexanders, who could shorten their names to Max or Alex. Percy was almost as long as Perseus. And it wasn't quite so long as for merely writing it to eat into the precious little time he was allowed on those timed math tests every elementary school seemed to love.
But nonetheless, Percy felt better than Perseus, and without an easy reason, he never explained it to anyone, not even himself. It weighed less than Perseus, so he was Percy, not Perseus. It took a long time before it occurred to him that weighed less and weightless were two very different things.

It was disgusting. Horrifying. Marinette couldn’t believe she’d done that. It was the Miraculous, it had to be. Tikki warned her, but she didn’t listen. And now she had to deal with the consequences.
Adrien was terrified. It was the Miraculous, it had to be. Plagg laughed at him, mocked him. But that was Adrien’s lot in life now.
