In one verse, Obi-Wan Kenobi grows to be a broken man.
In another, he is just a lost toddler being prodded around by the Force to meet different people and change the outcome of what could be a horrible universe.

    Summary

There's a rumor going around the Quarters that there's a general in the Republic Army who was seen wearing the Amarattu, a general who calls himself Sky-Walker and Rain-Bringer, a warrior unfettered and fearless. They say that he’s a Jedi Knight, that he wields a blue lightsaber and calls the slave-clones by the names they chose for themselves. It’s probably bantha shit, but Nima has to admit that even if it is a lie, it's by far the prettiest one she’s heard in years.

With Anakin off-planet on a mission and her anti-slavery bill being blocked at every turn, Padmé is feeling useless, exhausted, and very, very alone. Enter Nima, a twelve-year-old Amivakka slave of one of Orn Free Taa's aides. After being freed, Nima forces Anakin to remember that which he'd rather forget-- and in doing so, saves Padmé, Anakin, and the galaxy.

    Summary

A Cajun chef and a cargo hold of other humans are captured by Aliens. Zygerrian slavers. Turns out that Star Wars is real, George Lucas had visions, and it's the middle of the Clone Wars.

Of course, the visions scrambled the order of things, people look nothing like the actors cast for them, and humans do not domesticate well. Still, how much trouble can a few humans cause?

All of it. All the trouble.

    Summary

“Padawan Kenobi is damaged, but not destroyed.
He is in pain, yes, and he is not well.
In the span of two years, he has suffered a life-changing injury; shouldered more pain and physical discomfort than some of us have experienced in our many years; and carried an incredibly heavy grief. However, in spite of that pain and suffering, the child has not shown weakness; he has shown strength, and resilience.”

“Well then, Master Dooku, what do you want this Council to do?”

Dooku wants to offer him hope, just as his friend was able to do two years ago.

(This is a story in which Obi-Wan Kenobi is taken as a padawan three times before he reaches 11 years old.
First, by a childhood friend of Dooku's, who offers hope to an injured, discouraged youngling.
Second, by Pong Krell, who adds more pain and suffering to the life of an already grieving and hurt little boy.
Third, by Qui-Gon Jinn, who--although initially hesitant--feels led to guide, train, and protect the broken child he has grown to care for.)
