Izuku has always wanted to protect people. It's all he's ever wanted to do. So when All Might saves him (and he saves All Might in return), it kickstarts the chain reaction of events that leads to the world irrevocably changing. and also a cult being started but that's less important.
(or, Izuku has a quirk that makes him a Paladin from Dungeons and Dragons 5th Edition. this changes everything and nothing.)

Summary
Pocket never meant to speak to Mina. Somethings, they told themself, were better left in the past. But curiosity always got the better of Pocket. Every night, they passed by Mina's tailor shop, lingering outside the windows to see the newest dresses she poured her souls into. When Mina finally confronts them, they both are forced to confront what they've spent years running from: the life they almost shared, and the wounds neither of them ever fully healed from.

Mina hates how much of a loser Arin is. She hates how they dress, how they don't talk to anyone other than those stinky frogs, and how she doesn't really know enough about them to throw an insult at them that will actually hurt.
But after being partnered up with them for a report on ritual circles, Mina is going to have to learn to play nice if she doesn't want to fail the class.
