Gi-hun knew that when he returned to the games, he wouldn't be lucky enough to make it out alive again. He didn't want to. If he could save at least one person on his way out, well, these games would have been worth it.
Young-il got in the way of everything.
"You thought I was gone," In-ho said smoothly, as if he was speaking some great truth into existence. Gi-hun supposed it sounded pretty damning, considering what those words were covering.
"And now, I don't know what to think." Gi-hun didn't miss the way In-ho eyed the lessened, but still unsubtle tremor in his hands.
