Summary
Xavier isn't exactly thrilled when Peter Maximoff calls to ask the professor to bail him out of jail, but he agrees to help. The circumstances of Peters arrest were suspicious and Xavier fears the worst - someone is targeting kids with physical mutations. If Erik finds out all hell will break loose.
An excuse to force Peter on Charles and Hank, by having them solve a mystery together! Mostly I just wanted to write about how Peter relates to others and how he might be slightly annoying to be around, even when he's being totally awesome.
Implied (perhaps future) Charles/Erik, Past DOFP. Characters introduced as story progresses. Using Magda Eisenharts back-story from the comics as Peters mom.

“What the hell are you doing right now, Brandt?” Ethan’s voice could be heard from the phone.
“Nothing much,” Clint answered, eying his prey with a predatory smile. “Just cleaning up some mess someone made in the office.”
There was another second of silence on the phone, then Ethan’s voice could be heard again.
“That didn’t sound like cleaning something up –“
“Well, I might also be teaching the culprit a lesson or two,” Clint answered. “Don’t worry about it. It’s not as if I’m currently torturing someone...”
