Viktor softly smiled, his partner returned.
“Jayce.”
He went to take a step forward, their stare unbroken, when he felt Isha tense, and move to stand in front of her parent protectively with her arms open.
Then, the corrupted weapon in Jayce’s hands, sharp and heavy, slowly lifted towards them.
