Ian was twenty-four years old when his brother was assassinated, his sister-in-law became collateral damage, and a screaming wriggling bundle was deposited in his arms.
“We’ll need to open an investigation” Blunt said, “I need someone to run it”.
He pictured how his life could turn out, taking care of Alex in between missions, jetting all over the world to track down the bastards who orphaned his nephew, and-
-and raising Alex, actually raising him, ensuring that he was happy and cared for and loved…
That seemed like a far better way to honour his dead brother’s memory.
“Well, Agent Rider? What is your decision?”
Ian glanced over at Jones, knew that she knew what he was thinking by the slight upward curl of her lips, smiled, then turned back to Blunt and stared him straight in the eye.
“I quit”.Or, the one where Ian tells Blunt to go fuck himself, Alex is unwillingly drawn into the spy world at fourteen anyway, and Yassen finds a certain over-protective rampaging on-the-warpath uncle very attractive indeed.

Summary
George was a prince, but this was not your average story of royalty.
There were a lot of things that George was not. George was not a bored prince trapped in a castle, George was not a great and aspiring prince who falls in love too easily, George was not a horrible prince who hated his family. George was, honestly, barely a prince at all.
Prince George, former heir to the throne, was locked in a large tower, pronounced dead to his people. All of this because his parents were too ashamed of him, wanting him as good as dead. George was not bothered too much by this, as he had already gotten used to it by now. He had long accepted the fact that he would never be king.
So George wasn't your average prince, but George was the beginning of a story that would be told for centuries.
