"You're asleep?" Tom asked quietly, knowing full well the latter was awake.
Tord opened his eyes proving him right, silver eyes meeting his.
"No, do you need any help with your homework?" he asked matching the quiet tone, either mocking him or not wanting to break the peaceful atmosphere. His efforts going in vain as that's exactly what Tom was about to do.
"Nah, just can't focus. I've been thinking about some stuff.'' He hesitated, ''I need to ask you something."
"Sure, go ahead''

Tord travels back in time and gets to experience his childhood, this time with new eyes.
Mostly interactions between Tom and Tord and them caring for each other in their own special way. Could be read romantically, but in my eyes, it's more of an older & younger sibling dynamic.
(Also a lot of it is just Tord having a really bad time. Time travel can really mess you up if you have a traumatic past and future.)
(Edit: it's mostly Tord having a bad time but there's plot now)

Summary
Through the combination of Medic's experiments and Soldier's shenanigans, the team start to go through some discomforting symptoms that lead for them to develop a new beastly problem...

Basically a Monster-esque AU I've been developing, the lads all get these beastly animal forms that they shift in and out of thanks to Medic and Soldier. Now they gotta deal with it until it can be fixed... if it can.
This is mostly going to serve as an establishing story for this AU to just sum up how this thing happened. Hopefully when this is done I can do just one shots to surround the AU and focus more on specific characters instead of juggling multiple perspectives.

It only gets worse from there.
It would seem a mercenary is a pretty good person to be in the apocalypse, unless the infected get to you before the news does.
