It was one of those situations.
The kind where it was going to be a one time thing, and then every time after the first time was just one more time until they’d lost track of how many one times it had been.
They’d broken up for a good reason. They’d thought that then, and they still thought so now. At least most of the time. It only slipped out of her head when Penelope was two gin and tonics in and she was once again ready to convince herself that she could hook up with Colin and not be in love with him (she couldn’t, but, oh, how she tried).
