A group is sworn to protect the peace of all inhuman species. The group manages to convince Levi to aid in their quest. Well. They did it by convincing his wife who dragged him along on her endeavor to learn more about the new world.
Now, facing a new mission to recover missing Vampires in the city already has Levi on edge. Taking a mission in the city with his entire squadron going into a heat made Levi's head spin. To add to his grumpiness, his beloved wife Hange was unintentionally taunting him with her upcoming heat. His headache reaches an all-time high when it seems all types of monsters are disappearing between their grasps.

Hange turned to Levi now, not hiding the shake in her voice.
“But if you woke up and said, ‘Let’s go’—I’d follow. I would. No speech. No questions. Just... yes.”
She looked down. Her breath hitched. Her eyes stung, but she didn’t cry. Not this time.
“I think about it too much,” she whispered. “Not the fighting. Not the dying. Just… being. With you. Somewhere that’s not here.”

After the Military Police becomes the prime target of a blood thirsty serial killer the Survey Corps are called in to help them. Squad leader Erwin Smith entrusts his two most promising soldiers to pay a visit to the Underground and put an end to this reign of terror.
This takes place a few months after Levi first joined the scouts. Levi and Hange haven’t learned how properly communicate yet and clash a lot. However, the quickly become really protective of each other as they learn how to trust and accept each other.
