now, everything was different.
haibara was gone, geto was away, and gojo had stopped listening to the elders. nanami had continued, because he didn’t really mind being sent on missions with the students ( somebody had to be looking out for those kids and it might as well be him) and - well, it paid his salary.
plus, sometimes, gojo satoru would randomly show up in the middle of these missions with a candystick in his mouth and a shit-eating grin around it, so there was that.
(the students loved it. nanami didn’t mind.)
gojo would usually not interject in the actual exorcizing unless he thought nanami needed the help - which hadn’t happened yet, because nanami may not come with all the bells and whistles of the strongest, but he was good at his job - and would continue to float around the scene during the exorcisms like an oversized tinkerbell in indigo blue, with his hands politely clasped behind his back so as to not accidentally let out a cursed-energy-blast of mass destruction, and a proud little smirk in his eyes every time he looked at his students.

Aka - Five times Gojo used a newspaper/magazine to smack some discipline in his children, and the one time he did not.
