Summary
After everything, the girls talk. It's messy (there's crying and anger and fear and love), and it ends with a promise: No more lies. It's only afterwards that Rumi thinks of her visit to Celine, and she very promptly decides NOT to share that particular experience with Mira and Zoey, content to let that little snippet of time die quietly in her memories alone (and really, what harm can one more lie be?). But, as Rumi has found out recently, her secrets have a way of coming to light, whether she wants them to or not.

Summary
Zoey and Mira had learned in the most painful way that it was silence that destroyed lives. Silence was a monster that lurked in the shadows, taking happiness and twisting it into a fear indescribable. Silence was a closed room that remained closed for far too long. And silence was what took Rumi from them.
Zoey is tired of being silent. Mira is too.
It's been four months since Rumi's disappearance. Four weeks since their second first date—a date to remind themselves of each other, even when the third part of their hearts and souls was gone. Four minutes since Zoey knelt down and sent her most recent letter, hoping against hope that she wasn't too late.
Hoping that there's still a Rumi to save.

“We need to at least try to find her. Right? This isn’t entirely normal. I think I’m right to be as worried as I am right now for her.” She was still pacing, her phone now in hand as she typed rigorously across the screen.
Mira, always the one to see reason, tried to change Zoey’s course, “But in the past she told us to just wait for her-”
“Well I’m sick of waiting, Mira! I’m tired of worrying for her like this. Most of the time if she’s not back within the hour she would say something. But she’s been radio silent ever since she left! I trust Rumi, I really do. But I don’t trust the silence. I’m worried something has happened to her and she currently lacks the ability to respond. I’m worried that she’s hurt or passed out somewhere. There are too many-”
Mira abruptly stood, her hands reaching out towards Zoey to gently grab onto her flailing arms, “Okay! Okay. Okay.” She spoke softly with a slight urgence, trying her best to soothe Zoey’s nerves a bit. It seemed to work as Zoey quickly stopped pacing and instantly looked at Mira, “Alright Zo, we’ll go out and look for her."
