Summary
They were just meant to be going to make arrangements with another Captain. Izzy had wanted to go alone - well, with Ivan and Fang, ideally - so as not to put either of his Captains at risk. Stede had insisted upon coming along, even though it was unnecessary, in order to get more pirating “experience”, or some shit. Izzy didn’t know. He’d been sent along as Stede’s bodyguard, to get them out if something had gone wrong.
And, well, everything had gone wrong.

"Yeah, yeah, okay, but listen! No one else can do it." Then there he goes, and Izzy isn't sure how he does it, but Edward Teach manages to pull an expression that tugs his heart so furiously that, that how could he possibly say no?
