Summary
VAD (Volatile Alpha Disorder):
A condition in which a child who will be presenting later in life as an Alpha is subjected to intense trauma (physical and/or sexual) in combination with physical abandonment of one or more caregivers, and after presentation periodically regresses into an aggressive, animalistic state.Bruce had expected his youngest pup to be an alpha. Ever since Dick left, and Bruce was left to his own regrets, he had been looking for something more. It just so happened that somewhere, a boy was struggling to stay alive. It just so happened that Jason Todd stole the tires off of the Batmobile, and was therefor (affectionately) stolen away by Batman himself.
After seeing signs of alpha presentation, Bruce is required to submit a test to ensure that Jason isn't one of the less fortunate, to be afflicted with a condition known as Volatile Alpha Disorder (VAD). The results make him rethink Jason's entire future, and Bruce does not submit the truth, intending to work through Jason's presentation alone.
