Zooble had been a great singer, and until they got back to the real world and their now girlfriend reminded them of that, they had forgotten how much they loved it.
Now, they were determined- with Gangle’s loving pushing- to find someone who could play an instrument with them, on stage. They could find anyone, though, until they were out of a late night grocery run and ran into a certain man they’d barely seen in the past seven months.
A certain man who refuses therapy for the life of him, and keeps scrolling through past messages, dreaming of a timeline where he didn’t make the same ‘mistakes’. At least, mistakes in his eyes- things no one would ever blame him for.

She keeps replaying the moments in her head, trying to pinpoint the fracture. Was it the way he looked at Kaufmo’s door too long? The way his jokes got sharper, less funny? Or maybe it was the first night he cried and thought she hadn’t noticed.
Ragatha sifts through memories of Jax like broken glass, looking for the one shard that cut deepest, the one place everything started to slip. If she can trace it back, maybe she can understand.
Maybe she can still save him.

Pomni stumbles in on a thoroughly emotionally broken Jax and proposes the perfect solution to his problems -- they should start dating, because nothing fixes things quite like upping the stakes! Everyone else is still wrestling with their resentment towards Jax after Caine's "Escape the Circus" Adventure and they're pretty sure Pomni is making a terrible life choice. But hey, maybe they can get a whole new tolerable Jax out of the deal, so I guess they can just let Pomni cook a little here ...
(IDK how to write a summary for this. It's full of emotional vulnerability and some smut and lots of angst and hurt/comfort and enough fluff to heal your soul, so ... hopefully you enjoy the ride? I don't know if the smut counts as Mature or Explicit; it's pretty bog-standard and mostly dry humping. Nothing dark. Just lots of vulnerability. There's also a Beach Episode v2.0 and a Sleepover Adventure later on in here. Make of that what you will.)
