Summary
Sukuna Ryoumen has everything he could ever desire.
His original body. A wonderful brother. His Shrine rebuilt in all of it's former glory. Servants waiting at his beck and call to fulfil all of his needs and wants.
As the most powerful being in existence, there is basically nothing that doesn't come easily to him. Nothing he can't take or claim or devour as he pleases.
Thus, when his curiosity gets piqued by something he is unable to properly understand or possess, he does not rest until his curiosity has been satisfied.
Regardless of what sacrifices must be made, or who must perish, in order to accomplish this.
And, unfortunately for first year Jujutsu Tech student Gojo Satoru, it would appear that he is the newest victim that Sukuna's ravenous curiosity is looking to claim.

“How would you know that?” Satoru jokes weakly.
“You were in four pieces,” Sukuna deadpans. He stretches out a hand and Satoru feels a faint tug at the edges of his scars.
“You killed me.” Satoru concedes quietly. He takes a careful sip of the soup, and nearly sighs as the flavours spread on his tongue, though he can’t tell if it’s because Sukuna’s cooking is that good or simply because he hasn’t had anything to eat since he died. “About a thousand years into the future, you killed me.”
It’s strange, saying it out loud.
Or: After dying in Shinjuku, Gojo Satoru wakes back up in the Heian Era.

He wishes he could have one more moment to argue, to fight, to hear that damned laugh again. “I’ll never get to hear it again.”
