Dearest gentle reader
The season has opened for the year of 1814, and with it comes the usual suspects flocking back to the ton from their rustic country houses. Eager mamas, rakish bachelors, and overzealous daughters looking to avoid spinsterhood all once again join the ranks of society for the purpose of making a match.
Though this author has little hope that this season will be any different from all the rest, I would be remiss to mention that this season will show the return of two of this society's most scandalous figures – Lord Derek Hale and Mr. Stiles Stilinski.or, when Derek Hale returns to society for the first time in eight years in order to find a match for his sister Cora, he remains firm that he will never marry. Stiles Stilinski, though intent on marrying, vows that he will never marry for love and, in fact, is looking for a match without it. When Stiles begins courting Cora, despite Derek's intense disapproval, things go in a different direction than either of them expected.

Merlin's job as PR junior on the royal account isn't as glamorous as people believe: Most nights, he's saving Arthur, Duke of York and black sheep of the family, from possibly committing monarchy-shattering shenanigans. When tragedy hits and Arthur is now second in line to the throne, the public doesn't react too favourably to the new Prince of Wales.
A solution has to be found and Merlin's contribution is key to the problem: Roped into posing as Arthur's fake boyfriend, he's supposed to make Arthur's popularity levels rise with his steadfast and relatable presence and elevate him from scandalous rake to romantic figure...

Henry has no idea what the context would have even been to have spurred such a comment. He only heard it due to one of those mysterious moments that happen every so often in crowded rooms at the most inopportune times where the volume on all conversations inexplicably lowers simultaneously, allowing one statement that was most likely not intended for mass audiences to ring throughout a space. In this case, the somewhat offended sounding announcement of one Alex Claremont-Diaz, Henry’s tragically heterosexual roommate and long unrequited crush:
“Of course I’ve kissed a guy before; I’m not homophobic. Jesus.”
Alex is a bit confused about the concept of allyship. Henry is possibly going to die.

“Ok. I’ve got a few shirts with me because I came here straight from work, but I think it’s going to be a tight fit. I know I’m not as skinny as I used to be but I’m not exactly the same hunky physique as you, oh grand macho werewolf,” Stiles shrugs.
Derek runs his eyes blatantly over Stiles’ chest.
“I’m not so sure about that,” Derek mutters, and he slams his mouth shut, teeth audibly clacking together, as if he really hadn’t meant to say that out loud.
Stiles flushes but he heads upstairs to grab Derek a spare dark shirt. When he gets back to the kitchen, Derek’s already shed his dirty shirt and he’s helping himself to Stiles’ half empty mug of coffee, neck thrown back as he drinks.
Stiles literally looks to the heavens because he must have done something really good in a past life to be awarded with the sight of Derek Hale’s naked, very firm, slightly hairy torso parading around his dad’s kitchen before eleven in the morning.
Drinking his coffee. Stiles’ mouth had just been on that mug. Right where Derek’s mouth is.
By elementary school rules of dating (ie sharing a bottle, your mouth touching where someone else’s mouth was just touching, sharing cooties) they’re now married.

What started as a simple "fork in the road" AU became a series and ate my life.
JSYK, this is a Sterek series, but they are an asexual-but-romantic pairing in an open relationship. Derek is asexual; Stiles has a FWB arrangement with Erica (with Derek's okay) but Derek and Stiles are in a committed, romantic relationship.

Summary

It is the middle of the night in a small village in Wales, and a helpful officer directs him to a B&B for the night.
There he finds a kindly innkeeper, his very weird historian gremlin nephew, odd people, odd situations, and even odder - himself.
A slightly absurd and very gentle story about coming back to yourself, finding a true family, and realizing that historian gremlins are actually really hot and rather amazing, and perfect to fall in love with.

He immediately went to YouTube to check his video, and the first thing he noticed was that his subscriber count had indeed changed, just as he’d suspected.
Except not in the direction he’d anticipated.
When he’d gone to bed, he’d still been a few thousand subscribers away from one million. Something like seventeen or eighteen thousand away.
He was now staring at his subscriber count sitting at over one million by a fair margin.
“What the fuck?” he whispered to himself, and went to look at his newest video about AllAboutMischief. It was sitting at three-hundred thousand views in the first hour, and had more comments than he’d ever gotten on any of his videos since he began uploading.
“What the fuck?” he whispered again, a little more desperately.

“What building is that?” Arthur asks suddenly, gesturing in the direction of a tall tower, a few rectangular windows lit up in yellow.
Merlin ponders for a moment, but in the darkness all the usual landmarks disappear.
“I don’t know,” he admits. “I don’t think I’ve ever seen it before.”
He waits for Arthur to laugh at him, but his friend just nods, gaze still fixed upon the city. Only then does Merlin realise that he had meant the words. Standing here, in this strange and hazy night, it feels as if the city before him is not the one he has lived in for years, but another, made entirely for them. A city full of lights that he has never seen before, and that are only here because Arthur looked upon them.
