Look, it's exactly what it says on the tin. This is nothing new. This is a 2000 word description of a character suffering in a canon moment where we clearly know she is suffering. This is my love letter to the song No One Mourns The Wicked and to Glinda's character as a whole. I had a lot of fun writing it, but can admit that it can be incoherent at times.

Tl;dr: Elphaba's magic is spawned by her anger. Galinda's is spawned by her jealousy.

Everyday for the last 3 years was the same, it very rarely strayed from the routine. Her therapist had stated a routine, “provides structure and consistency in daily life, which can lead to reduced stress, improved focus, better decision-making, increased feelings of control, and overall enhanced mental and physical well-being” and blah-blah-blah. Elphaba zoned out after a while because it was always the same thing, over and over and over again.
So here she was running as fast as she could down the same path she always took, in the same park she always ran in. Nothing new, nothing strayed from the routine, until…

Summary
Vin and Elend have been transported to Roshar in the middle of Szeth's attack on Dalinar.
I have tried to keep it as accurate to the cosmere lore as possible, with some of my own interpretations on how the different forms of investure would interact.
This is also my first story, and I would appreciate any notes in the comments. I know that it will never be perfect, even less so since I am writing Brandon Sanderson characters, and my writing skills are not good enough for it.
There are spoilers for Mistborn books 1-7 and for Stormlight books 1-5

The story follows the book timeline, includes events that are referred NS and builds towards the characters and the deeply committed relationship that we know from the show. It was born from a need to resolve some book/show discrepancies and write happiness for the fishwives.
