Something Ilya learnt very early on was that Shane liked watching Ilya defend him. Whether it was with his words or physically. Almost every time Ilya hurt or killed someone in defence of Shane resulted in mindblowing sex. And honestly Ilya got off on protecting Shane, something about it made his alpha howl in joy every time he got to show his omega just how far he’d go to defend him.

No one knows exactly where Shane Hollander came from. Some people say he was just an ordinary person that the boss claimed for himself.
Other people say he was a worker at one of the many clubs Rozanov ran in North America, a lost soul who the boss saved.
Or maybe somehow the omega used his natural allure to trick the alpha into loving him.
Other stories are more sinister, that Ilya had bought Shane from an omega trafficking ring, or that Shane was the abused, drug addicted omega of another alpha before Ilya took him
All people know for certain is that when Ilya was in North America he spent 3 months in Montreal and when he came back to New York where he lived primarily, Shane was with him.
But really it didn’t matter, all that mattered now was that Shane was Ilya’s and, perhaps an even scarier fact, Ilya was Shane’s and would give him whatever he asked for.

They didn’t really speak for the rest of the night. Ilya picked out some clothes for Shane and once he was washed and dressed they went downstairs and ate food. Ilya just scrambled some eggs for them both and they ate them in silence. When Ilya led Shane up to one of the many spare bedrooms of this house, Shane immediately collapsed onto the bed, Ilya went to leave before Shane spoke for the first time in a while “You’re leaving?” he asked with what seemed to be a pout forming on his face. Ilya froze with his door on the handle and turned back “I will just be in the next room, if you need me just come find me, ok?”
Shane shook his head and said “Stay,” like he wasn’t giving Ilya a choice before shifting over on the bed creating enough space for Ilya. Ilya faltered for a moment, dumbfounded with the way this omega, who had been shaking and scared most of the evening was now giving him a command.
