Harry stared at him, dumbstruck. “…Companion?”
Death’s eyes gleamed with faint amusement. “Yes. In the original Latin, when I spoke with the Peverells, the title was both vow and invitation. To walk with Death is to be bound to him, to share eternity together, in sickness and in health.”
Harry made a strangled noise. “Wait. Wait, wait-hold on. Are you saying we're married now?!”
