BLANKET WARNINGS: Mentions of Tarsus IV and all of the horrors and attrocities one might usually expect to find in a fic that has mentions of Tarsus IV, mentions of sexual abuse of a Main Character when they were still a child (Jim Kirk, of course), mentions of (PAST) child abuse.. Lots of bad stuff in Jim's childhood it was a dark childhood..
The Trial over Jim cheating on The Kobayashi Maru doesn't get interrupted by a distress call from Vulcan... How will that change the course of things?.. I know one thing, Jim is gonna be insufferably pleased with himself for an undetermined length of time after all is said and done... And Spock?.. Summary
Spock opens the box belonging to Ambassador Spock, which had been delivered to him. On the top of the contents within is a red fabric/leather bound book with silver embossing in Vulcan calligraphy, declaring, Nam-tor nashozhika t’nash-veh, “This is my logic”.
Written for the 50th Anniversary of Star Trek, and the Old Married Spirk Challenge 2016.

Summary
Spock and Kirk experience Spock's pon farr together, each learning what it means to be filled to overflowing with passion and rage, love and need. During this time, Spock breaks past Kirk's last refuge of mental shields and establishes an unbreakable link deep in his subconscious. While not unhappy about the link, Jim must learn what it means to have a Vulcan in his head 24/7, and Spock must learn how not to overpower his mate, to whom telepathy is still very new. While still adjusting to their new situation and new access to each other's thoughts and feelings, Jim is promoted to Director of Operations at Starfleet when his predecessor suddenly dies. Will the added pressure of such an important, responsibility-laden job cause even more problems between Jim and Spock? Will their fragile bond be able to hold up under the demands, or will it be their salvation?

Summary
It’s the final six months of their original five-year mission and Kirk is badly injured in a cave-in, requiring an 11-day stay in the medical clinic on Starbase 4. McCoy and Spock are at his side, while the crew enjoys the base’s shore leave opportunities.
Comfortable but bedridden, Kirk has time to reflect and scrutinize his decisions over the past 4½ years. Dozens of TOS episodes are referenced. Kirk’s neighbor in the med clinic, a telepath, learns of Spock’s plan to undergo Kolinahr and spills the beans to Kirk. Jim confronts Spock about it and learns what Spock really wants: a t’hy’la bond with him.
During a series of earnest conversations and intimate, late-night melds to discover if their minds are compatible, Jim and Spock slowly reveal their innermost selves and acknowledge a deep love for one another.
The story spans only two weeks, but there are lots of references to the past and future. Story is canon compliant with the episodes, but not with the movies, since Spock never goes to Gol.
