The letters are unsigned. He wonders who wrote them.
Perhaps when he arrives in Hallownest, the kingdom's derelict glories will yield answers.

Except- under mysterious circumstances, he finds himself impossibly thrown into the past to the day of his instantiation, at the very beginning of it all. Eons before the series of tragedies that ruined his and his sister-iterator's lives, he wakes again forced into the fulcrum of fate, his every action threatening to spiral out into unimaginable consequences. If he wants to save Moon and prevent the future from repeating itself, though, what other choice does he have?

It’s been a few days since The Favorite Character Awards.
Pomni has been through a number of bizarre things during her time in the circus. Candy truck chases, angel head horrors, minimum wage labor, athletic events, gun-filled battle royales. But none of these come close to what she witnesses on a seemingly innocent day full of beach-filled fun: Caine attempting to take his own life.
After managing to stop him, Pomni takes it upon herself (and is borderline forced to by Bubble) to help keep Caine’s mental state intact by engaging in improvised therapy sessions with him. After all, if Caine died, what would happen to the circus? And to the humans that lived within it? This was her only concern at first. But as Caine opens up to her more through these sessions, she realizes just how much the AI is hurting and how long he has been harboring these negative emotions.
Turns out Caine needs more help than she thought.
He's just as trapped in this game as they are. And worse.

In Starscream’s honest (and very humble) opinion, this was one of the worst days of his life.
And that’s against some very steep competition, you know! Millennia upon millennia of having the worst luck known to Cybertron and beyond really lends itself to a never-ending stream of horrible events that all culminate into an ever-present world-weariness and severe paranoia, all channeled into one (unfortunately small) seeker.
Today in particular, though, seemed to deviate from his usual pattern of bad luck, in the form of an irate Autobot.

12/Sep/25 small update! I'm editing past chapters to fix my usage of "Raph" instead of Raf (sorry) and fix some terminology mistakes (fixing head to be helm and whatnot where I've made mistakes) Currently up to chapter 22
Also, I've cemented a head cannon (first mentioned in the end notes of chapter 23) that Starscream uses Cybertronian time measurements, so I've made some small edits here and there to keep things consistent! Time keys can be found on multiple chapters from before I started implementing this as a part of the story, but I've added one to chapter 3!
As this is my first fic, I have tried my best not to outright re-write things as I like seeing how far I've come :)

Ruyi knew that he would die. Well, perhaps 'die' was not the right word. Eigong would destroy him, rip him apart to claim the Sol Seal and finally bring her plan to fruition. He could not stop her, not with words, not with force.
The past between them meant nothing now.
So much time. Five hundred years, and yet he felt just as powerless and confused now as he had in his very first moments.
He would not bend for her, though. He would only break.
