Summary
Evan “Buck” Buckley was not an honest person as much as he would like to be or even was trying to be in his own way. His dishonesty wasn’t malicious in the slightest though. He had his reasons, of course, but his entire identity was built on a shaky Jenga tower of lies. As much as he built it up, one by one the blocks were still removed over the years making the tower less and less stable.
Buck joined the 118 fresh out of the Navy and braced himself for all the questions that were about to come his way which he did not want to answer. Then, like a gift from above, somehow and shockingly, no one had read his resume, and he found he could start all over again, be a new person, someone completely different or maybe who he was supposed to be all along.

Summary
Harry Potter. For a long time, the name has been synonymous with Dumbledore's Gryffindor Golden Boy. The leader of the Golden Trio. The straight, white, poor, confused boy. But not here.

Truly, it is more of a surprise this did not happen in the story many know. The Killing-Curse was reflected off of young Harry. Yet for something to be reflected, it must first hit something. And regardless of if it stayed, being touched by that magic leaves a mark. One that the soul-shard of Tom Marvolo Riddle, the brilliant boy twisted by rituals and driven to insanity by fracturing his soul, was able to enter through. And finally, blood wards were not meant to be placed on one so young. Placed around them, yes, but what Albus Dumbledore did in anchoring them to Harry’s still-maturing core was not intended in their design.
