Soul mate AU - what if the words on your wrist are the last words your soul mate utters to you ?
"You believe in nothing; you're a cynic through and through " were the only words Grantaire could remember hearing as he passed out . He vaguely felt the itching sensation on his wrist , reminding him of his soul mate tattoo and Enjolras ...

Summary
Feuilly first met Enjolras at an anti-austerity march; Enjolras had broken through the police-lines to lead the crowd away from the backstreets and onto the main roads of the city. Feuilly remembers cheering with the rest of the protestors as Enjolras and a few others had led them to the town hall in what he later learned had been an organised effort. Enjolras had quickly appropriated the base of a statue for a stage, calling speakers out and passing a megaphone between them.
Two years later, and Feuilly has carved himself a family out of their ragtag group of anarchists and social misfits, finding friendship where he'd never expected to. When he learns that Enjolras used to have a crush on him, he’s not quite sure how to react.
***
(The Enjolras/Feuilly fic that was intended as a oneshot but somehow became a multichapter fic complete with sprinkles of union politics, a dash of anarchism, and more pining than you could possibly imagine.)

Summary
Grantaire's voice curls as though he’s laughing at a private joke. “You seem… alive?”
“Why wouldn’t I be?” Enjolras asks. When Grantaire doesn’t answer, just shrugs, Enjolras finds himself pressing, “Why wouldn’t I be alive?”
Grantaire looks at him directly for the first time. There’s no warmth in his expression, no amusement or affection, nothing Enjolras is used to seeing there. “Why would you be? It’s been four years, dude.”

Summary
“Here, in my…” Enjolras pauses. No, something can’t be right. Something doesn’t add up. “In my chest.”
The man just keeps staring at him, like he’s expecting something to happen. Nothing does.
“How am I alive? I should have died, I can’t… I can’t be alive.” Enjolras takes a shaky breath and narrows his eyes. “Who are you?”

In which a protest goes terribly wrong, Grantaire isn't quite what he seems, and Enjolras is the key to a war he doesn't even know about.

Summary
A RENT AU that's not really a RENT AU.
Or the one where Courfeyrac's theater is putting on a character switched production of RENT and Grantaire knows how to work a stage while Enjolras pines.
