Ochaco always thought she was lucky enough to be where she was, from attending one of the most prestigious hero academies in Japan, to being no. 24 in hero rankings.
Being a quirk counselor was going well for her as well, able to help adolescents with their quirks that could be seen by ignorant day-to-day citizens as “villain quirks” or “unnatural” abilities, she lives every day the same, saving who she can.
So, why does she spend every waking day thinking about the one person that should’ve been purged from her mind for 12 years?
Why does she feel faint when said person gets released back into society?
Why, despite every attempt to purge the thoughts of this person from her mind, does she find herself unable to?
Why, on what’s supposed to be her day off, is she called to work to discuss something urgent, something that she has every right to ignore, shove away, and hold off, but finds herself racing to her office in a heartbeat.
Why in gods name, did the world give Ochako Uraraka the opportunity to speak with the girl that she’s been pining over for 12 years?

Vi scoffed and stomped forward, the gravel crunching beneath her feet as she approached Caitlyn, who looked up at her with an empty, disinterested expression.
She stopped right in front of her, chest puffed out, voice dripping with venom.
“Good lord, Kiramman, maybe pace yourself for once. What’s the plan? Smoke yourself into an early grave so we don’t have to deal with you anymore?”
Caitlyn’s head jerked slightly, her features a cool mask of indifference.
“Though I am flattered by your concern," she said icily, taking a slow, deliberate drag from her cigarette, “I assure you that I am perfectly capable of handling myself, thank you very much.”
“Oh, yeah? Is that why you’re here?”
Caitlyn slightly perked one of her eyebrows. The look on her face made Vi immediately feel incredibly stupid and childish.
“No. I am here to smoke a cigarette. In peace. Why are you here?”
