Yet he lets a small evil chuckle leave his mouth at this “bad idea” of his.He doesn’t know when it popped up in his head, but it’s been plaguing him for the past few days. “What If’s” running around his mind like chickens without heads. Like mouses when the cats come home. Like when the “dumb quartet” hears him coming from a mile away.
He lets the pro’s and con’s argue against each other in his mind, tiring themselves out with the effort to keep up with each other. Neither has won their case just yet, they’ve been going at it for a few days now.And suddenly, just when he’s getting tired, the side of the pro’s come up with an earthshattering argument. Effectively shutting up the con’s.
The grin on his face only widens at that.

Gepard blinks. “Sampard?”
“It’s your ship name,” Pela replies with an exceptional understanding of the vast world of fiction, waving a dismissive hand at Serval’s widening grin and Gepard’s clueless expression. “Don’t worry about it.”

Maybe the sun did freeze and he’d been launched into purgatory or whatever. Because what comes out of Atsumu’s mouth almost convinces him that he’s dead and some demon is messing with him as a preview of the rest of his eternal damnation in the fiery pits of hell.
What comes out of Atsumu’s mouth is this:
“Don’t ya fuckin’ laugh at me— ‘Samu, I’m serious, I’ll kill ya— but there’s someone I like.”
He hears a crack.
Maybe his mind had blown into smithereens. Maybe it's his reality fracturing around him.
Either way, he’s choking.
