Summary
Lute, after leading a retaliatory strike against Hell, is disavowed by Heaven and left in Hell to suffer for her crimes along with five other Exorcists. While it takes some encouragement- and a few minor explosions- Lute begins to figure out who she really is and what that means, repairing relationships and forming new ones along the way. Alongside Charlie and Vaggie, Lute makes great strides towards the future- but the thing about Hell is, things are always changing.

Wednesday didn’t look up.
Her eyes never strayed from Enid’s face—the pale arch of her brow, the soft tremble of her mouth, the quiver of lashes catching starlight. A tear slipped down Wednesday’s cheek, tracing the familiar curve of her jaw before vanishing into the stiff collar of her shirt.
“Indeed,” she replied, just as quietly. “Indeed, she is.”

Summary
Capital has the ability to subsume all critiques into itself. Even those who critique capital end up reinforcing it instead.
J is a ruthless killer determined to lead the most effective disassembly team Copper-9's ever seen. Uzi is a inventive rebel with a master plan to win respect and answers. By nature, by mission, by attitude, the two are destined enemies. Each stands as a challenge to everything the other is—and if they share one thing, both attack a challenge head on.
Yet that doesn't exhaust the parallels. They share the loneliness of standing as the only ones who dare to try in a world going through the motions. They share that purpose-rending wound, one who once cherished them now torn away, and dimly comprehend why, if they can even remember the loss. They share a fiercely defensive shame that makes snarling out insults with arrayed claws more comfortable, more fulfilling, than any lame as hell liability recognizable as romance.
If you ask J, keeping this toaster around a little longer helps the bottom line. If you ask Uzi, that arrogant murderess is not calling the shots and nothing about her menace flusters her, shut up.
