Alexei shoots Kent a look like he’s crazy, then leans forward and presses his lips to Kent’s forehead. “You have fever,” he murmurs. “And you shaking. You is cold?” Then without waiting for an answer he’s taking off his sweatshirt and guiding Kent into it. “Look good in blue,” Alexei says and he’s looking at Kent with such warmth that Kent has to look away.

Kent's worried this mismatch in abilities means their soul bond isn't meant to be. And it's not like a bond guarantees a good relationship anyway.
Alexei suspects his soulmate is from Vegas after their goal song echoes back in his head during a game. But no matter how hard he looks, he can't seem to pin down exactly who they might be. All he can do is keep reaching out for his soulmate and hope he hears him back.

If there was one thing about Vegas that Kent loved it was the anonymity. Unless he was wearing his Aces gear, he was almost never recognized, especially in the bars he frequented.
He sharpens his kohl pencil, closing his eye and pressing a thick line to the top of his lash line. Smudging it out into a smokey wing, he lines his waterline and then does his other eye before applying mascara Then comes a little bit of golden highlighter over his cheekbones and a deep red lip stain. He had already applied his favorite glittery nail polish so he washes his hands and gives himself a critical once over in his full length mirror.
