Summary
Leaving behind his people has never sat right with him, but he is unceremoniously pushed towards the other side of the tunnel by a bleeding Big. He runs, and almost manages to get away until five or six guys corner him in a back alley. Seeing a door as his only possible chance of survival, Kinn pushes it open and stumbles in what looks like the back of a bar. The stench of human and sex, with the sweet undertone of blood and vampire venom permeates the room, and he is momentarily thrown off by it, enough for one of the guys to kick him and push him forward. There is a person - a human - smoking, and he realises that the guy is the origin of all the smells he felt. Most importantly, he smells like a familiar, a human feeding on vampire blood.
