When Dave got a call from Aradia, he was right on that shit, he picked up the phone faster than anyone could look. She managed to wrangle some job in a commercial archaeology company, almost immediately after college. She told Dave she would ask around for jobs for him, but couldn't promise anything, so he couldn't help but hope for the best when he picked up the phone.
"I have a job."
That's what Dave was talking about, hell yeah.
"It's not in archaeology."
And Dave was fucked, once more.
OR
Dave finds a job as a mascot for a college baseball team, with little to no baseball knowledge, and there he meets the catcher of the team, Karkat Vantas.
