“The hell?” Sanji glared at the toppled-over junk, “What shitty idiot didn’t take out the trash correctly?” Sanji grumbled. He reached down picking up the rectangular canvas before dropping it with a shocked, ‘What the hell!’
Sanji stared at the image painted upon the cloth. It was a painting with very familiar blue eyes looking up and out to his audience. The man sat upon a regal chair with a cloak of red draped over his shoulder and a crown of thorns propped on his head. It felt like a painting out of the Renaissance, but there was no confusion about who the person was. It was him. Sanji was staring at himself which had been painstakingly painted and left for him to find.

“Fireworks? I’ve never seen fireworks before! Let’s go see them, Marimo!”
Zoro assumed with how adventurous Sanji was that the fox had at least seen one fireworks show in his life. They had gone from adventure to adventure just the two of them for ages, so when there was a cause for celebration in a new tiny town with a fireworks show to be had it was a no-brainer to drag the kitsune to see it.

“I wouldn’t do that if I were you,” A mischievous voice danced through the shadows.
The men in the alley whipped around only to see a mountain blocking the entrance. The latest victim of their crime spree was spared for the second as they all readied their weapons at the intruder.
The moonlight cast enough light to reveal a tiny woman wearing a red cloak and a delighted smirk. Her eyes looked back to the girl in the alley who looked nothing but terrified and trapped. Nami clucked her tongue focusing a new glare on the men.
“And what are you going to do, little red riding hood?” A gun was raised and now pointed at her.
“Nothing,” She flicked her hair over her shoulder, pivoting on her heel as the mountainous shadow behind her shifted. A single gold eye glittered alongside three shimmering earrings pierced against a long ear that was folded back. Whatever it was moved closer dwarfing the girl as it stalked forward.
“But the big bad wolf certainly will.”

Summary
There was a lot one could say about the Vinsmokes:
The corruption. The fall from glory. The insistent crusade in science and military powerhouse that one Judge Vinsmoke was famous for, but the biggest was the underlining secrets.
Secrets that were like a miasma that crept out of the floating country. Each and every one of the royal family had a secret, but the biggest one of all was how Sanji, the third of the quadruplets, the ultimate failure of Judge’s latest experiment, wasn’t the only one who was technically a failure.
In which all the Vinsmoke brothers have emotions, and while enhanced, want to protect their third.

Summary
Meropide is a quiet town, about an hour northeast of anywhere anyone could find on a map. If they are being charitable, they call it quaint or unpretentious or charming, but when they’re honest, most people call it a podunk backwater that might as well be crowned the capital of Bumblefuck Nowhere. It had been much the same thirty years ago, just slightly less stooped and gray, but Wriothesley’s fading memories of the town don’t need much adjusting.
He likes the idea of quiet nowhere. Something like a ‘fresh start’ is a bit beyond him, but an early retirement to a tiny country town suits Wriothesley just fine, and that’s before he sees the lighthouse.

"Sorry," Hua Cheng murmured, voice still deep from slumber, "I didn't mean to fall asleep."
The vines tightened minutely. It wasn't enough to cause any degree of pain. It was like someone was holding his arm and gripping a little tighter, as though he were trying to move away and they were doing what they could to stop him without injury.
"Is this… do you want me to stay?" Hua Cheng asked. The vines remained just as taut against his skin, but the tips of them moved, sliding around his fingers as if threading them together. His heart fluttered, and he whispered, "Okay. I'll sleep here tonight."
