Steve felt himself freeze at the question. Instances of friendly pushes against his shoulder and a sink basin turning red with bloody knuckles. Of an old bandana, a last call.
“Twice,” He muttered. “Nancy Wheeler. First semester, junior year.”
“She’s such a priss!” Steve could hear Robin’s eyes rolling from the stall over. “Wait- you said twice? Who’s the other?”
Steve swallowed. “A friend from middle school.”
“Are you still in love with her?” She asked softly. Steve chewed at the inside of his cheek.
“He died when we were thirteen.” He whispered, feeling the sting of tears prick against his eyes, aggravating the cut on his cheekbone.

He doesn’t know a thing about what Will survived, just the bits and pieces that float around town like the rumors that usually concern the exponentially more menial. Someone’s grandma died. Some senior turned up pregnant.
Steve inhales, sharply. Thinks about who he was before and after Denver. Thinks about who everyone expected him to be. His mouth opens before he can consider if he wants to stop it. “You know, my name’s not really Steve.”

In the wake of the intense battle, Hopper’s post-Russian resurrection, the Byers' move back to Hawkins, and the group’s gradual recovery, the party decided to have bi-weekly movie nights at either the Byers or the Harrington residence. After the first month of the kids and Eddie arguing over what movie to watch, Steve had decided he had enough, and they started to rotate whose choice of movie they would watch.
On May 31st 1986, it just so happens to be one Dustin Henderson's turn to pick. The day of, Dusin spends his morning looking through his own tapes and in the process, discovers a banged up and unlabeled black tape. His natural curiosity moves him to pick this as his movie selection as neither he nor his mother can remember what exactly is on this tape.Little does he know, this decision will lead to hidden truths being revealed and a complete destruction of how he views one of the most important people in his life.

They are two people who stand on opposing lines. They get into fights, they throw curses, insults, punches, and kicks. And somewhere along the lines, they also started kissing. Then the kissing turns into something more.
It's not a big deal.
They're sexually compatible and romantically incompatible. They both know that, and they both like it like that. This no-strings-attached thing that they have going on, something that's bound to fizzle out at some point.
That is why Hyuntak feels nothing but panic and disbelief as he sits on Seongje's bed across from Seongje with a pregnancy test lying in between them.
