Summary
Royal Margarine Cookie has always known his place... A wandering dragon rider, a knight of the skies—his life is a cycle of battles fought, victories claimed, and peaceful days in the kingdom. A kingdom so peaceful, he finds himself living side-by-side with foes previously seen in battle. Why co-exist when everyone knew they would surely clash again? No one thinks twice about it. It's simply a fact of life.
But then, he feels it. A warmth against his chest. A shiver down his spine. A distant laughter that doesn’t belong to any Cookie around him. And with every battle, every victory, the presence grows stronger.
Who is this force, equipping him with toppings that would make him stronger? Who was providing him the care to change into new outfits, when other cookies around him didn't receive (or notice, really) the same treatment.A god, he realizes. An unseen force, greater than the Ancients themselves. And yet, they do not fight. They simply lift him higher.
"Who are you? And why do you favor me?"
If this being has chosen him, then he will rise. He will become the warrior they deserve.
For the first time, Royal Margarine Cookie isn’t fighting for glory.
