Summary
After Charlie's death and a bad hunt Sam gives up. He makes a decision that changes everything.
~~
“Your brother has yet again done something with drastic cosmic consequences.” Sam squeezed his eyes shut, unwilling to see the hatred and disappointment on Dean’s face. “Samuel.” Death called and he couldn’t have rejected the request if he’d tried. “You would give up all that you have worked so hard to accomplish, all that you are, and live a subservient life instead?” Sam swallowed thickly, blinking rapidly as he tried to figure out how to say what he needed to say.“If it means none of my mistakes happen, all of those lives saved,” Sam couldn’t stop his eyes from darting to Dean once but was taken aback by the stricken look on his face. “Of course I would.” He turned back to Death who was gazing at him like a bug under a microscope. He guessed that’s what he really was to something as powerful as Death. The horseman nodded once as he stood.
“Very well."

Summary
What if Dean had a twin sister that changed absolutely everything?
~~~
“Why? Why me?”
“Well, kid, that’s the interesting part. See, you were supposed to be special. Have this grand destiny, the works. Unfortunately, the Big Man decided that it wasn’t quite time for those plans and threw a kink in the works.” Sam looked at the monster questioningly. What the hell was he blabbering on about? The Big Man? Sam could hear the capital letters in the way the demon said that. God? Was he referring to God? “Don’t you worry about any of that. It’s not your destiny now.”
“Why not? What kind of kink did God throw into my destiny?”
“Your sister. See Samael, you and your brother were supposed to be inseparable. Soulmates. A perfect balance. The plan was set long, long ago. Then your brother had a twin. That in itself wasn’t the problem. No, the problem was that they are soulmates."
Summary
What if Azazel decided to up his game?
What if Ramiel didn't want the apocalypse?~~~~~
“That’s why I’m here. Under Azazel, the kid will be used as a weapon to help raise Lucifer. An’ if none of them other little fuckers hold out, he’ll end up being Lucifer’s meatsuit.” Meg seemed put off by that idea. It was working. Maybe he’d found his way in. “You ‘n I both know the importance of his older brother. You really think that the angels will let Lucifer’s true vessel not house him?” Meg shook her head, knowing the sad truth about her little brother. “The bigger problem is Asmodeus.” Meg’s eyes widened comically and her head whipped to the side to look at him. It would’ve been funny in any other situation. “Dagon heard a rumor that the Bastard Prince,” it was his and Dagon’s snide nickname for Asmodeus. “Is planning to get ahold of our nephew and use him to take hell.”
“Oh, what the fuck?!” Meg grumbled and stood abruptly.
“We can’t let that happen, Meg. We can stop it. All of it.”
“No. Abso-fucking-lutely not. No way. What do you need?” Bingo. His first sale was done. -
Summary
After the apocalypse that wasn't Sam and his family are moving forward. How will being a nephil change Sam's time at Stanford? Will he be able to accept himself and find love?
"Sam took a week off from college after the disaster that was his nephil-napping. He spent his week off with his family. Relishing in training the new guardians, getting to know Lucifer, hunting with his brother. Things had been almost normal again. His father had been ecstatic to learn that Sam had been accepted into Stanford and that he was making friends. He’d been more than pissed to learn what had happened with the hunters. However, much like Dean, he had encouraged Sam to not allow a single mishap to derail his plans and goals. Gabriel understood the urge to run away from his problems. Sam apparently got that personality quirk from his father. Unfortunately, Gabriel also spouted, with all his years of wisdom, how he had learned from his mistakes and that fleeing the drama wouldn’t help. Sam still wasn’t sure he was ready to face Jess or any of his friends."
Summary
I've seen this idea a few times, but this is my version of what could have happened if Sam was Gabe's son.
"Mary Campbell was a strong woman who had left hunting behind to raise a family. The Campbells were known to be some of the most knowledgeable hunters on the planet. He promised to alter her family’s memories so they would accept the child as their own. He should have known that she was THE Campbell. He should have paid more attention to her husband’s last name. Should have realized all the other Campbells were dead. She didn’t mention a deal with a demon. Her soul didn’t show any signs of being claimed for hell. He should have known.
He really should have known."
Summary
An AU first half of Season 8 (pre-Trials storyline, that essentially remains the same, give or take a few subtle changes but everything before Trial and Error has been altered.) Following the explosion at the Leviathan headquarters, Dick Roman is gone, Dean and Cas were taken to Purgatory, and Sam is alone. Or, he would be. But unfortunately, for Sam, someone has eyes on him. Someone has watched Sam for years, waiting for their opportunity to strike, and with Cas and Dean finally (supposedly) off the playing board, they take their golden opportunity to use Sam against another supernatural being, one that, according to rumors, Sam is already destined to kill. And when Dean returns from Purgatory, the first thing he does is search out his wayward brother, who may or may not be the same one he left behind.
