Summary
Shortly after Mizuki escapes from prison, Iruka vanishes from his apartment, and Kakashi is assigned to lead a search team that brings the missing sensei home. After returning to Konoha, Iruka is placed under a protective watch while he recovers— one that Kakashi has no business volunteering for, hardly knowing the sensei, and being far above the skill level necessary to guard someone from a single escaped convict.
Then again, Kakashi’s never been particularly predictable.

Dwight Fairfield throws a wrench in that generator as soon as he steps on the scene, and suddenly, the next four years are not as dull and boring as Jake thought they would.
