Hollander seemed genuinely hurt by the suggestion, his big dark eyes fixed on the tiled flooring at Ilya’s feet. For a moment, he looked like he was about to cry again. “It doesn’t matter if it’s yours... Which it is, by the way. You fucking asshole.” He twitched. “But it’s not like we’re together. Whatever choice I make, I wouldn’t ask anything of you.”
“Good.” Ilya said coldly. He kind of felt like he was going to cry too. He wasn’t quite sure why. “I’m glad you know this.”

Summary
Shane sends him a text that says 'thinking about your cock' with a picture of his rippling abs, and even though Ilya really appreciates the abs, all he can think about is the faint bruise blooming on Shane's ribs, and whether it hurts him very badly, and whether there's anything Ilya could do to make it hurt less, if he were there. He wants to be there, he realizes. He wants to be there for the rest of his life.
He has to duck out of the team weight room so he can cough up a fistful of petals.

Wiebe laughed at him. The bastard. “Hollander’s contract and everything is all set. It’s just this one condition, and we’re sure it won’t be a problem.” Ilya was speechless, and if Wiebe was waiting for him to talk before explaining himself, they were going to be there all day. “He said he would walk away without it.”
Shane Hollander is moving to the Ottawa Centaurs after a contentious end of the season with Montreal. Ilya had never been so excited for anything, until their coach told him Hollander had a last-minute condition that's going to upend Ilya's life.
