Hawkins wasn't a huge town, and there was only the one highschool, but the two were never friends. Didn't even like each other. In all their darkest moments however, they somehow found company together.
Or the one where Steve has depression, Eddie becomes his safe space, and when Eddie encounters battles he can't fight, Steve reminds Eddie of his own strength.

“Relax.” Wade tells him. Logan must have tensed up again. Without really thinking, he tries to do as Wade directs, to let his muscles go lax. Logan hears Wade’s breath hitch a little as he feels the effort. “Good,” he says. “You’re doing good. Just relax.” The words make Logan’s face heat up, and he knows they’re wrong – he’s not good, has never been good – but he can’t find it within himself to protest, to growl, to do anything but feel the warmth of Wade’s palm on his chest, of his fingers in his hair. He’s pathetic, is what he is. But it’s been so fucking long, and he’s so damn tired – of himself, of fighting, of everything. If Wade wants to touch him, then Logan will take what he can get.
Or: Logan thinks his body is only built for hurting people. Wade shows him he's wrong.

Which was why Conner was having an incredibly difficult time with the request being made of him.
"Sorry, you want me to what?" Conner's disbelief was potent enough to overrule his well-learned fear of Batman almost entirely.
"Red Robin is in a compromised state." Batman's tone was as stony as ever, his form looming and intimidating as he spoke to Conner. "He has . . . made it clear to me that you are his . . . preferred avenue of rectifying the situation."Or; Red Robin gets dosed with sex pollen and asks Batman to ask Conner to help him out ;)

“Christ. I didn’t think this all the way through, I think,” Eddie says quietly.
“Don’t be embarrassed, dude. We say so much outrageous shit to each other, how bad could it be? Is it the face-sitting thing?”
Eddie laughs, shaking his head with an amused smile.
“No, but I haven’t forgotten about that. It’s the… the other thing. About… getting something so that you could…” He wiggles his hand around in the air a little. It’s a completely incomprehensible gesture, most likely just a nervous flair. “You know. Use on me.”

It wasn't supposed to go like this.
Steve was supposed to work with Robin at the Family Video, flirt with the many many girls who came to browse the expansive selection of VHSes, go on some dates, and hopefully find The One.
It was supposed to be a notably upside-down free year.
